Micro and small businesses operating in the solar energy sector in Rio Grande do Norte have gained a new opportunity to access qualification and certification programs.

The initiative stems from the partnership established between ABSOLAR (Brazilian Photovoltaic Solar Energy Association) and Sebrae (Brazilian Service for Support to Micro and Small Businesses), which now has a specific Sebraetec-RN call for proposals aimed at accrediting technology service providers and strengthening the photovoltaic production chain in the state.

Registration will remain open until June 30th. The goal is to expand Sebrae's network of partners in Rio Grande do Norte and facilitate access for companies in the solar sector to the quality certification mechanisms developed by [Sebrae/the organization]. ABSOLAR.

The call for proposals also includes projects related to the areas of production, quality, sustainability, and technological development.

Financial support

The initiative is part of a nationwide agreement signed between ABSOLAR and Sebrae to encourage the adoption of quality standards among companies in the photovoltaic supply chain.

Under the established model, Sebrae may cover up to 70% of the expenses related to the adaptation and certification of participating companies, subject to the rules of each state unit of the institution.

Financial support can reach up to R$ 9 per company, depending on the conditions adopted regionally.

The proposal aims to reduce barriers for small businesses to implement improvements in internal processes, management, and professional training, as well as to obtain certifications focused on the solar sector.

Different segments

The Voluntary Quality Certification Program ABSOLAR It was structured to serve companies at different stages of the solar energy production chain.

Distributors, installers, integrators, manufacturers, shared generation companies, service providers, and training centers are eligible to participate. The model adopts three certification levels — A, AA, and AAA — with the goal of stimulating the continuous evolution of participating organizations.

Expansion

The public notice issued in Rio Grande do Norte is part of the national expansion strategy of the partnership between ABSOLAR and Sebrae.

The organizations expect to increase the number of certified companies and strengthen the technical support structure available to small businesses operating in the photovoltaic sector.

In addition to accrediting companies specializing in technological services, the initiative also opens up opportunities for certification bodies interested in joining the Sebrae network.

According to ABSOLARStrengthening certification mechanisms contributes to raising market quality standards and creating conditions for the more structured development of companies operating in the sector.
