Aneel (National Electric Energy Agency) suspended the tariff adjustments that would be applied from this Wednesday (8) by the distributors CPFL Paulista, Energisa Mato Grosso do Sul and Energisa Mato Grosso. The suspension is valid for 90 days.

The measure was announced on Tuesday (7) after concessionaires requested a postponement due to the Covid-19 pandemic. With this decision, companies will continue to charge current rates until June 30 of this year.

The difference in revenue will be adjusted and considered in the distributors' next tariff processes. Companies' contributions to the CDE (Energy Development Account), in the same period, were reduced from the deferred amount and should be restored to the account in the second half of this year.

How is it

The CPFL Paulista tariff adjustment, which will be implemented starting June 30, will be 5,17% for low-voltage consumers. For high-voltage consumers, the adjustment will be 6,72%. For Energisa MS consumers, the adjustment will be 6,93% for high-voltage consumers and 6,89% for low-voltage consumers. For Energisa MT consumers, the tariff increase will be 2,40% for low-voltage consumers and 2,65% for high-voltage consumers.
