The year is not over yet, but it can already be considered a watershed for Renovigi Energia Solar.
In September, the company, one of the precursors of photovoltaic energy in Brazil, completed ten years of existence with a significant milestone: more than 2,5 million solar panels and 90 thousand photovoltaic generators installed, which corresponds to an installed power of 1 GW in its first decade of operation.
In Brazil, solar energy grows every month, reaching 20 GW in September, third place in the country's electricity matrix.
In 2022, Renovigi was acquired by Intelbras, becoming part of a group with a consolidated brand, which has 46 years of experience in the security, communication and energy segments.
Completed in March, the acquisition process brought a new challenge, which the company has been tackling over the last few months. After all, a change of this size does not end overnight.
The year has been one of restructuring, in order to prepare the new Renovigi that is coming, even stronger and with a strong presence in the market.
Every change generates anguish, and it would be no different in this process that Renovigi is going through.
With a base of around 4 thousand integrators, it is natural that some questions were constantly present in the minds of those who, for many years, have relied on the company in their projects: after all, what is the future of Renovigi? What will your performance be like from now on?
Renovigi remains a robust brand in the market, with a structured channel policy and the certainty that its brand will be preserved. I say this with the experience of someone who, over the last four years, has experienced the solar energy market, and has always seen Renovigi as a reference in the sector.
Today, I carry the mission of leading this restructuring, and I can say that it was not for nothing that Intelbras carried out the acquisition move. After all, Renovigi is one of the companies with the longest experience: it has been operating in the solar market for 10 years, recognized by renowned customers and partners.
On the other hand, Renovigi will have at its side the strength of a group that has already been operating in the country for more than four decades, and will benefit from the integration of some sectors, mainly in the area of Research & Innovation (R&D), the target of constant investments, which will favor the launch of new products and improvement of existing technologies.
In an increasingly fragmented market like solar, brand and tradition are fundamental values for those who are going to make a long-term investment, purchasing equipment that should last more than 20 years.
It is essential for the customer to have the guarantee of technical assistance, knowing that they will be able to count on the company in 10, 15 or 30 years, if their equipment needs repair or maintenance. Guarantee, therefore, is a value that few companies on the market can offer with such security, and Renovigi is one of them.
We believe that solar energy will grow more and more in Brazil, and Renovigi follows this growth. We have already doubled installed capacity compared to last year, and we are on track to occupy second place in the electrical matrix, surpassing wind power.
The DG (distributed generation) milestone brought security to the sector, and the taxation of wire, starting in January of next year, will not reduce demand. New technologies that are being developed around the world will reduce the cost of equipment, making solar energy increasingly attractive.
Furthermore, we aim for a world in which renewable energy will be increasingly used, in order to achieve the targets for reducing greenhouse gas emissions necessary to stop global warming.
We are paving the way, and what is coming is a new Renovigi, increasingly stronger, with its own products and a guarantee of the future for its partners and end customers.
