The solar industry is increasingly experiencing advances in cell manufacturing processes, and one of these notable advances is the HJT (heterojunction) technology developed by Risen Energy and named Hyper-Ion. These modules, with 210mm cells, are the result of intensive R&D by the company, culminating in a photovoltaic technology that sets a new standard in performance.
Among the features of the Hyper-Ion series are, for example, ultra-thin wafers, zero busbar, hyper-link interconnect and suitable encapsulating materials. Advances were incorporated to improve the efficiency and overall performance of the panel, which results in reaching an efficiency of 23,89% and a power of 741.456 Wp in tests carried out by TÜV SÜD.
According to the manufacturer, the modules also offer the best stable temperature coefficient of -0.24%/°C at full power, and a bifaciality factor of up to 85% ±10%. Regarding the annual degradation of Risen's HJT panel, it is 0.3% per year, which means that such panels can maintain a power generation above 90% after 30 years of use.
Technology is available in Brazil
Hyper-Ion modules are now available for sale and supply through the company's strategic partners, such as MTR Solar, which achieved 45% growth in sales of products for ground-based plants in 2023, reaching the 1,5 GW.
Thiago Rios, CEO of MTR Solar, emphasized the partnership with Risen and the efficiency of the new panels to grow in the Brazilian and LATAM markets. “Risen is MTR Solar’s main partner in supplying photovoltaic modules for distributed generation plants in Brazil, where MTR already has more than 2 million installed.”
“With these new HJT modules, MTR hopes to offer a product with greater efficiency and, therefore, deliver a greater return to the investor. We hope to exceed 2 GWp in equipment sold next year, and we count on Risen's HJT panels to exceed this goal with quality and the guarantee of delivering a differentiated product to our customers”, he highlighted.
According to Ricardo Marchezini, Country Manager at Risen Energy in Brazil, the Hyper-Ion heterojunction module series is leading the way in the solar energy revolution.
“The company's dedication to technological innovation, reliability and quality has resulted in products that not only meet, but exceed market expectations. With the availability of sales and supply of these panels in the Brazilian market, we can expect increasingly more efficient projects”, concluded the executive.
