O Romagnole Group, which celebrated its 60th anniversary this Friday (18), foresees investments of R$90 million in 2022.

The company closed 2021 with growth of more than 50% compared to the previous year, surpassing the R$1,6 billion revenue mark.

Part of this increase, according to Romagnole, was due to transfers relating to increases in raw material costs.

Furthermore, a portion of these contributions is being applied to the beginning of works on a new unit for lines of electrotechnical hardware and structures for photovoltaic generation.

According to the company, the new structure will double the production capacity of these product lines, which is already one of the largest in the country in this segment.

The investment program also includes continuing the modernization process of other industrial units, launching new products and acquiring technologies to accelerate the process of digital transformation and industry 4.0.

“The increase in demand for energy is a reality and the electricity sector has necessary investments in all regions of the country”, said Romagnole in a note.

“Utilities need to modernize their networks to improve the quality of services and, with the contributions made in recent years, we are prepared to meet these market needs”, he concluded.

Job creation and acquisition of Lupa Tecnologia

In 2021, the company created more than 500 jobs and ended the year with more than three thousand employees in its 15 units and six other controlled companies.

Recently, the Group announced the acquisition of Magnifying Glass Technology, a company based in Minas Gerais and specialized in the development of technologies and systems for protection, automation, maneuvering and communication in electrical energy distribution networks.
