Romagnole presented its new lines of structures for photovoltaic energy generation this Thursday morning (1): Pratic Lite and Pratic Pro. According to the company, the new models bring a series of innovations, with a new concept for assembling the systems and represent a revolution for the segment.
The new models include structures for ground and rooftop generation and feature features that make the installers’ work easier and reduce assembly time, thus reducing installation costs. The new products presented were developed based on international references and technical studies conducted by Romagnole’s Marketing and Product Engineering teams. “We sought to better understand the reality of installers in their day-to-day work and improved several aspects that will make their work in the field easier,” explains product manager André Fonseca.
Before definitively placing the new products on the market, Romagnole carried out a series of tests in reference laboratories. All tests carried out confirmed the products' compliance with current standards, as well as their efficiency and safety.
One of the new features presented by the company is that the new Pratic Lite and Pratic Pro structures have the “H” and “flat” profile format. According to Romagnole, because they are lighter and more resistant than those normally used, they make the work of assembling the systems require less physical effort from the installers.

According to the company, this feature also has a positive impact on freight costs, contributing to improving the competitiveness of distributors and integrators. With the aim of improving the working conditions of professionals who assemble generation systems, Romagnole has developed a new format for the profile joints. In addition to being more practical, the component ensures the necessary resistance to not compromise the anchoring of the equipment.
Another unique detail of the new Romagnole structures are the clamps for fixing the photovoltaic panels. Instead of the traditional “mid-clamp” (for connecting the panels) and “end clamp” (applied to the edges), these lines use a unique model device, which stands out for its versatility. The “dual clamp” performs both functions, and is easily adjusted by the installer according to the point where it will be applied.
In addition to including fasteners for all types of roofs, the Pratic Lite and Pratic Pro structures have ground structures that can receive conventional or bi-facial generation plates and sets with four, eight, twelve modules and up to 24 modules (the latter available only in the Pratic Pro version).
In the Pratic Pro line, one of the biggest differences is the way the modules are fixed, which is done without the use of screws or tools. This technology is exclusive to the Romagnole brand. It guarantees perfect fixation, without any play and the fasteners themselves perform the grounding function, eliminating the need for other types of accessories.
To make installation even easier, the fasteners were designed to be attached to the profiles underneath the structure. This means that there is no need for the installer to lean on the modules, which could damage them. According to Romagnole, this set of innovations means that the average installation time for each module is just 30 seconds and, once installed, there is no need for revisions or adjustments to the torque of the fastening devices.
The kit provided by the company includes the disconnect switch, in case it is necessary to remove any of the boards. In this case, even if the modules are discontinued, the grounding system remains active.
