As operations do BNB Faucet (Banco do Nordeste) for financing of systems solar energy in homes grew 55% in 2022 compared to the same period of the previous year.

According to a report released by the financial institution, the number of customers who took out credit from the company went from 3.428 to 5.335 from one year to the next, which demonstrates a greater search for self-generation.

Os contracted values also showed an increase in the comparison between the two periods. In 2021, R$113 million were financed, while in 2022 it was R$184 million – an increase of around 62%.

The operations and values ​​match to all line hiring FNE Sun Private Wealth, carried out in BNB's area of ​​operation and which encompasses the nine states of Northeast and the northern regions of Minas Gerais and Holy Spirit.

According to the president of BNB, José Gomes da Costa, in addition to the population's natural interest in implementing technology, some changes made in the last year by the institution would have helped to improve the numbers, such as the digitalization of the credit contracting, consultation and approval process. . .

“We started to adopt the access opinion made by energy concessionaires, replacing three documentation that were previously required, which are technical feasibility, equipment certification and the technical inspection itself. In other words, we maintained security in operations, but reduced bureaucracy,” he said.

Available resources

O president of the institution highlighted even if are available for 2023 near R $ million 186 for new operations. “We believe that we will hire even more, as in January and February alone we already financed R$34 million. This is almost 20% of the target for the year,” he revealed.

The financing line FNE Sol uses FNE resources (Constitutional Financing Fund of the Northeast) in supporting the acquisition of systems for distributed micro and mini generation of energy from renewable sources for the borrower's own consumption or intended for rental.

The generating plants that can be installed through this credit must have an installed power of less than or equal to 75 kW (microgeneration) or greater than 75 kW and less than or equal to 5 MW (minigeneration), according to BNB.
