O BNB Faucet (Banco do Nordeste) registered high in the demand for credit for iinvestment in solar energy in homes. Until August of this year, the institution financed R $ million 16,7 in micro and mini energy generation projects in Maranhão.

Os resources come from the FNE (Northeast Constitutional Financing Fund), the amount is 10% higher than that recorded in the entire year of 2023.

The institution still has R$65 million available which can be applied until the end of 2024, through the FNE Sol credit line. In addition to the entire Northeast, part of the states of Minas Gerais and Espírito Santo are eligible to access the credit.

In the Southeast, the resource is available in the states of Minas Gerais and Espírito Santo, in municipalities that are included in the area of sudene, where BNB also has direct involvement.

All components of micro and mini photovoltaic, wind, biomass or PCH (small hydroelectric power plants) electricity generation systems, as well as their installation, can be financed with FNE resources.

According to a Vagner Mota, superintendent Supervision of the Banco do Nordeste Branch Network, demand for resources has been significant, driven by attractive conditions, such as competitive interest rates and the possibility of a significant reduction in electricity costs.

"Between January and August 2024, Banco do Nordeste has already financed more than R$107 million, benefiting more than four thousand families”, stated Mota.

Another aspect highlighted by the executive is the difference offered in relation to the market: the extended payment term, which includes a grace period of up to six months, and the payment of financing in installments of up to eight years.

"This term allows the client more time to pay off the investment., and the grace period helps with family financial planning. In addition, the value of the installments is usually lower than the cost of the electricity bill”, added the superintendent.

Interested in using FNE financing lines You can visit BNB branches or contact the institution through its electronic channels.
