Selection process allocates 50% of vacancies to women

According to the company, the objective is to promote a balance between female and male hiring.

A SLB (formerly Schlumberger), technology multinational for the electrical sector, released the opening of 50% of vacancies aimed at professionals in the female in engineering fields and technical level.

The goal, according to the company, is for more than 500 vacancies allocated to these areas to be filled throughout the year, with the aim of promote balance of hiring female and male.

According to a Thiago Laini, Recruitment and University Relations Manager at SLB, the engineering segment, as well as the technical areas, is a predominantly male environment. However, it has shown changes in recent years.

“In 2021 and 2022, we managed to fill half of the vacancies with young professional women. This year, we want to increase the number of hires of both beginners and more experienced women”, said Thiago.

“Gender equality is a global objective of the company, which seeks not only to attract more female talent, but also to build a more inclusive environment, supporting female employees so that they can grow and occupy leadership positions within the company”, he concluded.

Programs

SLB has a career program, focusing on external work and internal professional transition.

O WISE (Woman Inspiring Supporting Empowring) and the superwoman are mentoring programs aimed at women, with the aim of supporting and encouraging professional growth and preparing them for leadership positions in the market.

O WISE program This is a mentoring project that has around 500 professionals. As objective of develop leadership skills and an inclusive environment for all women, the initiative is aimed at women who already hold leadership positions and is present in more than 50 countries.

Already superwoman consists of a mentoring project created in 2022, developed in Brazil, with professionals who work in the well construction area. The target audience is women who are about to take on leadership roles.

Job opportunities

In addition, four highly competitive vacancies were opened to immediate filling. To participate in the selection process, the candidate must be fluent in English and have a master's or doctorate in engineering.

The vacancies are intended for well construction and predict a training two years in Brazil and, subsequently, the allocation of professionals to Technological Production Development Centers of SLB units in the United States, United Kingdom, France and Japan.
