A Senergy opened, at the beginning of this month, a factory in Pingshan, China. The new unit, with an area of 24.000 m², functions as a R&D center (Research and Development) and production of on-grid inverters for residential and commercial applications, as well as hybrid solutions quality energy storage.
The site is equipped with automated production equipment, increasing Senergy's annual manufacturing capacity from 3 GW to 10 GW upon full operation.
According to the company, this enterprise has more than 100 R&D (Research and Development) specialists and more than 700 manufacturing employees.
Regarding R&D facilities, the laboratories cover 1.000 m² and are responsible for the development of on-grid inverters, with powers between 2 kW and 500 kW.
“We attach great importance to R&D and research into applications of new photovoltaic technologies and products. This embodies the original purpose of the Pingshan facility and continues to be the company's main mission in the future,” they highlighted.

Currently, the laboratories have put into operation a series of advanced equipment, including imported photovoltaic simulators, high-power grid simulators and high-power charging equipment.
According to the manufacturer, these assets can meet various research and certification testing requirements, generating data recognized by several renowned organizations.
“The Pingshan unit is led by domestic top experts in power electronics. The majority of the team has more than five years of R&D experience, with key management members and technical experts having more than 15 years of inverter research and development,” they highlighted.
production lines
The Senergy unit in Pingshan has 16 state-of-the-art automated production lines, with digital management processes and rigorous testing systems.
“For example, the PCBA production line integrates the most advanced production equipment, process technology and automation solutions,” they reported.

“The range also includes AI/SMT and plug-in components, utilizing various specialized equipment to achieve full-process MES data traceability, thereby facilitating quality management, smart manufacturing and competitive product offering,” they added.
According to the manufacturer, with automated and intelligent test booths and IP65 waterproof test facilities, the lines can reach a total annual production of up to 10 GW.
“The factory’s grand opening is a significant milestone in the company’s journey. By embracing this moment, we are prepared to play a deeper role in the global energy transition, contributing to the dynamic evolution of the solar PV landscape,” they concluded.
