Sofar has announced its listing on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange, marking its debut on the ChiNext Board (stock code: 301658). The achievement represents an important milestone in the company’s growth, consolidating its entry into global capital markets and strengthening the integration of technology and investment, amid the global energy transition and China’s “dual carbon” goals.

According to the manufacturer, by June 2024, global inverter shipments exceeded 34 GW, with a compound annual growth rate above 100% between 2020 and 2022.

The company has also achieved a position among the top five Chinese brands of photovoltaic inverters and energy storage inverters in the world, being recognized as a “Top Brand” by EUPD Research in India, Poland, the United Kingdom, Italy, Brazil and Australia.

Building a low-carbon future on a global scale

In total, the company operates three global R&D centers and two major manufacturing bases, with a global supply chain reaching more than 100 countries.

To better meet the needs of diverse markets, Sofar has established service platforms located in more than 20 countries, including the UK, Poland and Germany, as well as after-sales centers in Poland and the Czech Republic, and a logistics center in the Netherlands.

This localization strategy, supported by global roadshows, international summits, specialized recruitment programs and digital service platforms, has resulted in a three-tier service system – headquarters, regional and local – that increases agility in capturing market opportunities and mitigating regional fluctuations. Today, over 95% of Sofar’s international workforce is made up of local talent.

Investing in innovation for a sustainable future

While expanding its global presence, the manufacturer also highlighted that it embraces the advancement of energy digitalization through increasing investments in research and development.

As of June 2024, more than 25% of Sofar's employees were dedicated to R&D, and the company already had 250 authorized patents, including 105 invention patents, 94 utility model patents and 51 design patents.

Strategic importance of Sofar Brasil

The celebration of the achievement at the Shenzhen Stock Exchange also reflects the work carried out by the Sofar Brasil team. Since the beginning of its operations in the country, the company has already sold a total of 4,3 GW in inverters.

This result is the fruit of strategic partnerships with the main distributors in the sector, in addition to the crucial engagement of integrators, who play a fundamental role in the dissemination and installation of the brand's solutions.
Thanks to this broad network of partners, Sofar highlighted that they are able to guarantee coverage and reach throughout the national territory, further consolidating their presence in the Brazilian market.

Future of Sofar

Looking ahead, the company said it will continue to prioritize technological innovation and execute its global growth strategy. By leveraging capital market resources, Sofar aims to accelerate its expansion in the renewable energy sector, strengthen partnerships and innovation across the value chain, and foster the responsible and organized development of the energy storage sector.
