The manufacturer Sofa began testing the microinverter of the brand to launch the product for the Brazilian market. According to the company, the objective is to ensure the effectiveness of the product in Brazil.
“We are taking all the care and concern to first test 200 microinverters before making them available to the market. In fact, the Northeast is one of the main stages of these tests due to characteristics such as temperature and solar incidence. O target is to make sure that the product is 100% adapted to the Brazilian market”, reported Eduardo Fróes, Director of Sales at Sofa in Brazil.
In addition to this launch, another new feature from the manufacturer is the opening of another repair center in the interior of São Paulo aiming to expand support for integrators and consumers of brand.
“Let’s open a second repair center, bigger than what we currently have. The objective is to have more manpower and expand service capacity. Furthermore, we will maintain a quantity of new inverters so that we can serve our customers as quickly as possible”, commented Fróes.
Since 2017, Sofar has been offering photovoltaic products to the Brazilian market, with the G2 being the manufacturer's first series of inverters available in Brazil. Today, according to Fróes, the company counts around 350 thousand inverters sold in the country.
“Our products have already been tested in different networks and regions in Brazil. we have a great representation in the Northeast, which gives us an overview of how our products behave. Initially, we brought the G2 series and today, we are already offering the G4 series, showing that our product has followed the evolution of the Brazilian market”, he pointed out.
Asked about the brand's performance and the results of the first quarter, Fróes highlighted that the manufacturer presented an excellent performance in the first three months of this year, exceeding the targets set for the period.
“The first quarter was fantastic for Sofar. Of the year's target, 40% has already been delivered in the first quarter, showing a recovery that has been underway since November of last year. This shows the market's optimism. We have seen that financing is easier, in addition to the considerable reduction in the value of the kit in recent months, making it easier for Brazilian consumers to install solar energy in their homes and businesses”, concluded Fróes.
