A partnership between JA Solar, manufacturer of photovoltaic solutions, and (re)energizes (formerly Alsol), a brand of Group Energisa, will help to further promote the solar energy sector in Brazil.

The agreement provided 140 MW in 550W photovoltaic modules from JA Solar in the first quarter of this year to the distributor. The volume will be used to promote and expand solar DG (distributed generation) projects in new company areas, in states such as Mato Grosso e Mato Grosso do Sul.

“We are working to bring the best technologies and energy solutions available to our customers”, he explains. Gustavo Malagoli Buiatti, director of Development, Business and Technology at (re)energisa.

Fernando Castro, country manager of JA Solar Brazil, highlights that the main challenge of the agreement between the companies involved the production and delivery time of the equipment. “We arranged for part of the China Yiwu factory to work during the Chinese New Year period to fulfill our commitments to the customer,” he highlighted.

The executive also highlights that he hopes that the performance of the modules delivered will contribute to “the growth of the (re)energy business, as well as allowing for closer commercial partnerships between the two companies”. Founded in 2005, JA Solar has 12 manufacturing bases and more than 20 branches around the world. The company's business covers silicon wafers, cells, modules and photovoltaic plants.
