A JA Solar was promoted to “AAA” rating status for the first time, joining LONGi Solar and Trina Solar, in the newest report from “PV ModuleTech Bankability Ratings".

O study, which is published every three months, cadjust the metrics financial and manufacturing services from leading global suppliers of photovoltaic modules to set up a reliability analysis of companies of the sector.

A New Edition also revealed, for the first time, the positions relating to Top 60 suppliers – which account for more than 98% of market share global. For 2022, the “premium benchmarking” of the report took into account companies that managed to remain within the “A-Group” status (AAA, AA or A-Rated) for a period of at least three quarters.

In total, six suppliers remained within this nomenclature which, according to the report, forms “the most valuable benchmark in the entire photovoltaic industry”. In addition to LONGi Solar, Trina Solar and JA Solar, which today have AAA ratings, the following companies complete the list: Jinko Solar and First Solar (AA); and Canadian Solar (A-Rated).

Ranking.

Initially, the report began to be released annually to the market in 2013. It was only in 2015 that the studies began to be published quarterly.

Today, the survey is a tool consumed, above all, by investors, developers and global asset owners of photovoltaic sites. O The document also provides analyzes on other issues, such as manufacturers' profitability and technologies.

See below the hierarchy of the bankability pyramid, which ranges from AAA rating at the top to C rating at the bottom.
