Manufacturer Sunova launched four photovoltaic modules this month, including two with cell technology TOPCon e Hjt of the next generation. According to the company, the new panels have better performance and greater efficiency.

The display of new products was held during the Intersolar Europe, the largest event in the solar energy sector, which addressed topics related to climate transition, solutions and technologies focused on the renewable energy sector and reducing the use of fossil sources.

The module with cell technology TOPCon N-type 575 W is bifacial based on a 182 mm wafer and has 144 cells. According to Sunova, its conversion efficiency is up to 22,2%.

The manufacturer also reported that the TOPCon panel has an energy degradation of less than 1% in the first year and less than 0,4% annual degradation. Furthermore, the warranty offered is 30 years.

“We brought great news to Intersolar Europe. We have our 575 W module with TOPCon N-Type technology, which Sunova believes is an evolution of the traditional mono PERC. It is a technology that we intend to work on manufacturing in the second half of this year”, said Wellington Araújo, general director of Sunova in Brazil.

The bifacial module with HJT cells is 166 mm and has 480 W of power. Its efficiency is 22,1%, very close to the TOPCon module. Furthermore, it has an energy degradation of less than 1% in the first year and less than 0,37% annual degradation and a 30-year warranty.

Ao Canal Solar manufacturer reported that “although the cost per watt of TOPCon products may be higher than PERC products, the BOS (Balance of System) and LCOE (Levelized Cost of Energy) costs are lower due to their high efficiency and low degradation rate.”

The manufacturer also informed that it will participate in the Intersolar South America this year, which will be at Expo Center Norte in São Paulo between August 23rd and 25th. For this edition, the company will bring its new modules to present to the Brazilian market.

Currently, Sunova, a specialist in the manufacturing, R&D, sales and services of photovoltaic products and installations, has more than one hundred partners and has operations and an installed base in more than 20 countries and regions around the world.

The company has already accumulated more than 1 GW of supply annually to Brazil, Mexico, Poland, Southeast Asia and other emerging photovoltaic markets, in addition to supplying more than 300 MW of photovoltaic modules.
