Most recent data from InfoLink pointed out that, by the end of 2023, the global sales accumulated from solar cells da Tongwei Solar exceeded 200 GW.

“In just over a year, we enter na list of the five largest volumes de global sale de panels. Furthermore, we are the number one company in solar cell sales volume globally for seven consecutive years”, highlighted the manufacturer.

No last year, the company had requested a total de 1.917 Patents of solar energy, with 1756 of them being national e 1069 of them already granted. Tongwei Solar adheres to the R&D (research and development) of various technology routes and is involved in leading technologies such as TOPCon, HJT, IBC and perovskite/silicon stacking.

According to the company, with regard to TNC, developed the first pilot line de Industry 210 PECVD Poly Cells. “The silicon nitride film deposited through this technology can effectively reduce sunlight reflection, while good surface passivation can reduce cell performance degradation during use, providing better cost-benefit,” they explained.

"At the moment, closest de 50 % of the capacity of manufacturing uses this technology, becoming a pioneer and explorer in the development of the photovoltaic industry”, they highlighted.

In December 2023, after testing the MOT South, the modules THC from Tongwei Solar, with standard dimensions of 2384*1303 mm, have achieved a efficiency de conversion de HJT cells de 26,49 %, with a module conversion efficiency of 24,31% and a front panel power of 755,03 W.

“It is worth highlighting that this is the sixth time in 2023 that we break o record de power e efficiency of the heterojunction photovoltaic solar panel”, highlighted the company.

Increasing production efficiency

With the rapid growth of global demand for clean energy, the manufacturer stated that it is adapting to market changes and actively moving forward with the expansion of production capacity.

In June 2023, for example, the 16 GW module project in Jintang, located in China, was put into operation. In August of the same year, it was the turn of the 25 GW module project in Yancheng and, in November, the first batch of modules from the Nantong base was successfully sent.

By the end of 2023, Tongwei Solar already had a module production capacity of 63 GW, and the capacity is expected to reach 100 GW in 2024.

Product quality

In addition to expanding production capacity through facilities, the company highlighted that it is committed to improving product quality. The manufacturing facility in Yancheng has a fixed asset investment of around 4 billion yuan, with a total construction area of 600 m².

The 41 production lines of the three constructed workshops have all been put into operation, all adopting the 5G+ digital management model to realize intelligent configuration, AOI inspection and automation throughout the process, resulting in a 30% increase in production.

“To better serve customers, comprehensive construction and certification work was carried out in various areas, including quality management system and energy management, achieving a 100% pass rate in system certification,” they reported.

Investments in sustainability

Another point highlighted by the company is that it promotes the use of clean energy to reduce carbon emissions, emphasizes resource recycling and is committed to building low-carbon and environmentally friendly green factories, achieving a double increase in economic efficiency and environmental Protection.

Recently, Tongwei Solar officially joined the RE100 International Environmental Initiative, demonstrating its commitment to reducing its carbon footprint and promoting the use of clean energy.

“The year 2024 is a key point for the next round of transformation of the global new energy industry. Faced with new development opportunities, Tongwei Solar will continue to seek high-quality products that adapt to the era of carbon neutrality, starting from various aspects, such as quality, efficiency, technology and innovation”, they concluded.
