Despite the Covid-19 pandemic, Trina Solar announced that it increased its sales in Brazil in 2020, reaching more than 850 MWp in solar panels – an increase of 60% compared to 2019.

“The company's growth in the country is due to the result of investments in technology, the reliability of our products certified by the most important certification centers in the world and our network of local partners”, highlighted Álvaro García-Maltrás, general director for Latin America and the Trina Caribbean Region.

“We are always seeking to bring to the market solutions that allow us to generate more energy, in a safe and sustainable way for the most different challenges”, added the executive, adding that in 2021 the manufacturer will launch new products.

Marcio Takata, director of Greener, spoke about the expansion of the solar sector in Brazil in recent years and said that this market has been standing out due to the evolution of photovoltaic modules, increasing the efficiency and competitiveness of the source in Brazilian territory.

“These are fundamental ingredients for the development of the chain and for photovoltaic energy to be increasingly present in the most diverse applications here”, highlighted Takata.

Trina Vertex Line

In 2020, Trina launched the Vertex line of high-power panels, the first in the world to exceed 500 W. In less than a year, global sales exceeded 10 GW.

Currently, the family of modules includes products with 500 W, 550 W, 600 W and 660 W, as well as products designed for homes and commerce, such as the Vertex S – a small and powerful panel, which generates more energy on roofs.
