A BayWa re is a German company that is present in more than 30 countries around the world and that in the Americas has units installed in the United States, Canada, Mexico and, more recently, in Colombia and in Brazil.

The company began operating in the national market in October last year in the renewable energy equipment distribution sector from acquisition and transformation of Ribeiro Solar in a multinational company.

“Our goal is to be among the top five equipment distributors in the country in two years”, reveals Liciany Ribeiro, BayWa CEO in Brazil.

Liciany Ribeiro, CEO of BayWa re in Brazil

The company's distinguishing features are its bankability factor and partnerships with large manufacturers in the global market, and today it is a multinational with publicly traded shares.

In Brazil, the company is investing in the construction of warehouses and allocation of employees throughout all regions of the country to facilitate customer service, logistics and equipment delivery with reduced shipping costs.

“We are investing heavily in an equipment delivery model closer to the consumer, with products available in several warehouses and not just in a single centralized stock, which culminates in very expensive shipping costs for the consumer,” she said.

In addition to its headquarters in Curitiba (PR), the multinational has open warehouses in São José dos Pinhais (PR), Porto Alegre (SC), Recife (PE) and Fortaleza (CE), in addition to having registered professionals and salespeople who live locally. in all regions of Brazil.

By 2025, new warehouses will be opened in the Southeast and Midwest regions. “The idea is to have at least one BayWa warehouse in all five regions of the country”, highlights the group’s CEO in Brazil.

Intersolar South America

Intersolar South America, the most anticipated event in the solar energy sector in Latin America, promises to bring together more than 55 thousand attendees in its new edition at Expo Center Norte, in São Paulo (SP), between the 27th and 29th of August.

The Latin American congress – which covers the entire production chain of the global photovoltaic sector, from manufacturers, distributors, service providers and financial credit institutions – will feature, for the first time, the participation of the BayWa re brand

The company will be present with its own stand on Rua G1.40, where it promises to bring its complete line of products and solutions to the public, as well as the presentation of three new inverter partner brands.

Arrival of new brands in Brazil

Present in more than 34 countries, Baywa has been responsible for installing more than 10 GW of modules and inverters. The German company has a series of strategic partnerships with photovoltaic equipment brands around the world, such as Enphase, SolarEdge, Huawei, SMA, Fronius and Sungrow, for example.
