Weidmüller launches combiner box with printed circuit board

Product has integrated PUSH IN technology, which reduces assembly time and minimizes the risk of errors

A Weidmüller presented something new for the photovoltaic market. This is PV Next, the world's first combiner box concept based on a design using a printed circuit board.

According to the company, the combiner box has integrated PUSH IN technology – which reduces assembly time and minimizes the risk of errors and their consequences, without the need for crimping and/or maintenance tools.

The PV Next models also have protection against overvoltages and atmospheric discharges, varied numbers of inputs and outputs, options with or without fuses and the possibility of Plug & Play connection with WM4C connector, remote signaling and disconnector switches.
