The new company, called 2C Energy, is leading the 490 MW development in projects of centralized and distributed solar generation in Brazil.
In the state of Maranhão, 2C Energia is leading the construction of a 450 MW solar complex, with an estimated investment of R$1,5 billion. This project aims to provide energy for the production of green hydrogen and ammonia.
“We are currently in the licensing phase. This is a project scheduled for 2027 or 2028, and hydrogen is part of the feasibility study”, he stated Tiago Medeiros, general director of CZARNIKOW Brasil, in an interview with Canal Solar after participating in the Lefosse Energy Day 2024, held in São Paulo this Wednesday (8).
No segment of distributed generation, 2C Energia is implementing 40 MW in several locations, including the states of São Paulo, Distrito Federal, Ceará, Goiás and Mato Grosso. Investment in plants of up to 5 MW is projected between R$150 million and R$200 million.
Commenting on the distributed generation scenario, Medeiros noted that the market should receive a significant volume of investments in the short term, but that this trend should stabilize soon.
“Currently, there is a race for GD0 and GD1, but I do not see the attractiveness of GD2 due to the low financial returns. I believe we will see a peak in investments in the short term, followed by a stabilization of the market”, concluded the executive.
