The Collegiate Board of ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency) approved, this Tuesday (23), the annual tariff adjustments for 21 electricity concessionaires located in the states of Santa Catarina and São Paulo. The new prices will come into effect on September 30.
The following table shows the increase percentages for each dealership:

Among the distributors that will have their tariffs readjusted, Cervam stands out, with significant increases of up to 22,92% in the low voltage tariff.
On the other hand, some companies will have a reduction in tariffs, such as Cermoful, which will have a drop of up to 12,80% in low voltage tariffs.
According to ANEEL, the main factors that impacted this year's adjustments were the update of operational costs and financial items.
The increase in tariffs also reflects the need to offset changes in energy purchase and transmission costs, in addition to sectoral charges that finance public policies.
Tariff Review versus Tariff Adjustment
A ANEEL explains that the RTA (Annual Tariff Adjustment) process is simpler and always occurs in the year in which there is no RTP (Periodic Tariff Review). In this process, Portion B is adjusted according to the inflation index, such as the IGP-M or IPCA, discounting the X Factor.
RTP establishes the cost-effectiveness of energy distribution and sets quality and energy loss targets.
The entity reports that, in both cases, the adjustments involve the transfer of energy purchase and transmission costs, in addition to sectoral charges, which are fundamental for the maintenance and implementation of public policies in the electricity sector.
