ANEEL approves new adjustments to electricity bills; the largest increase reaches 19,74%.

A ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency) approved, this Monday (24), new tariff rates for consumers served by Neoenergia Elektro, Energisa Paraíba, Equatorial Maranhão and Pacto Energia.

The decisions affect consumers in São Paulo, Mato Grosso do Sul, Paraíba, Maranhão, and Paraná. The new prices will take effect between August 26 and 28.

Among the approved projects, the largest variation for residential consumers was recorded in the concession area of ​​Pacto Energia, in Paraná, with 19,74%. 

Next is Neoenergia Elektro, with 12,24%. Energisa Paraíba and Equatorial Maranhão will have residential rate adjustments of 4,81% and 5,20%, respectively.

Paraná

In Paraná, the ANEEL approved the provisional result of the 2026 Periodic Tariff Review of Pacto Energia Distribuição Paraná, formerly Forcel (Força e Luz Coronel Vivida).

For residential consumers, the variation will be 19,74%. Low voltage will have an average effect of 19,67%, while for high voltage the index will be 16,52%. The average effect for consumers will be 18,33%.

According to ANEELThe main factors impacting the rates were transportation and energy purchase costs, as well as sector charges. The new tariffs will take effect on August 26.

Sao Paulo and Mato Grosso do Sul

For Neoenergia Elektro, which serves approximately 3 million consumer units in 228 municipalities, 223 in São Paulo and five in Mato Grosso do Sul, the ANEEL The Annual Tariff Adjustment was approved.

Residential consumers will see a 12,24% increase. For low-voltage consumers, the average increase will be 12,19%, while high-voltage consumers will experience an average increase of 4,10%. The total impact will be 9,58%.

According to the agency, the result was impacted by the costs of energy acquisition, transmission and distribution, as well as financial components. The new tariffs will take effect on August 27th.

Paraíba

In Paraíba, the Annual Tariff Adjustment by Energisa Paraíba affects approximately 1,94 million consumer units served by the distributor.

For residential consumers, the adjustment will be 4,81%. Low voltage will see an average increase of 4,85%, while high voltage will have an average variation of 9,71%. The average effect for consumers will be 5,74%.

Among the factors that influenced the calculation are transmission and distribution costs, the anticipation of UBP (Use of Public Goods) resources for tariff moderation, and other financial components. The rates will come into effect on August 28th.

Maranhao

A ANEEL It also approved the Annual Tariff Adjustment for Equatorial Maranhão, a distributor that serves approximately 2,88 million consumer units in the state.

Residential consumers will see a 5,20% price increase. For low voltage, the average increase will be 5,25%, while high voltage will see an average increase of 8,68%. The average impact on consumers will be 5,76%.

According to the agency, the rates were influenced by the costs of energy acquisition and transportation, as well as sector charges. The new rates will take effect on August 28.
