Companies with logistics activities and distribution centers sometimes need entire rooms to house battery charging stations, which consequently ends up requiring a lot of physical space in their manufacturing plants.
Thinking of an alternative to save space in corridors and storage rooms, Fronius do Brasil launched the Energy Hub, a battery charging station that can be installed outside factories.
According to the company, the new solution is flexible and portable and is protected against extreme weather conditions and temperatures. Furthermore, it can be combined with a photovoltaic system and solar inverters to reduce electricity costs.
Mariana Kroker, commercial manager of the Perfect Charging division at Fronius do Brasil, highlights that the station is available in different sizes and can be configured individually according to the needs of each company. “The station is delivered ready to use and can be easily implemented in any outdoor environment. The customer only needs a free surface and a connection to the electrical grid. We take care of the rest”, explained Mariana.
Fronius also highlights that the Energy Hub has a monitoring sensor, a reinforced floor for the use of heavy batteries and an optional LED strip on the outside of the container, which indicates the charge status of each battery and provides the forklift operator with an intuitive overview of which battery has been charged for the longest time and which has already cooled down.
According to Mariana, this will be the first battery charging station for outdoor environments in the country.
