The accelerated advancement of the ACL (Free Contracting Environment) requires increasingly agile, secure and standardized processes to ensure that consumer migration occurs efficiently and reliably.

Between January and May 2025, the CCEE (Electric Energy Trading Chamber) registered the entry of almost 12 thousand new consumers into the Free Energy Market – a growth of 33,3% compared to the same period of the previous year. As a result, the total number of consumer units reached 76.673.

To keep up with this pace and ensure scale to the process, as of July 1st, CCEE began operating with a new digital model for registering and managing consumers, based on APIs (Application Programming Interfaces).

Conceived by the Chamber itself and approved by ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency) through Normative Resolution No. 1.110/2024, the solution digitizes and automates communication with retail traders, replacing manual interactions with faster, safer and less error-prone integrations.

The new platform allows for the migration of consumers, real-time monitoring of consumption measurement data, as well as editing of records, disconnection of retailers, suspension of supply, return to the regulated market and exchange of representatives with the CCEE – all in an automated manner.

“In addition to digitalizing communication with our members and increasing operational efficiency, the new model brings more transparency and security to processes. It is an important advance for the consumer and another step in preparing for the full opening of the free market,” says Alexandre Ramos, Chairman of the Board of Directors of CCEE.

The initiative is part of a R$60 million investment package aimed at modernizing CCEE's technological infrastructure, with a focus on digital solutions, cybersecurity and software engineering.
