Manufacturer Growatt presented the MAC series of its inverters for the three-phase photovoltaic energy market in Brazil. The devices provide flexibility to meet grid requirements of different voltages for commercial and industrial solar plants, including three-phase applications at 220V to 380V.
According to the company, the inverter brings greater performance and better payback – return on investment. It comes with an efficiency of 98,8% and a maximum DC (Direct Current) voltage of 1100 V. Additionally, it has three MTTPs (Maximum Power Point Tracking) to improve the ability to deal with uneven roofs when designing the photovoltaic system.
Growatt also highlights that the device is compatible with bifacial modules and can reduce LCOE (Levelized Cost of Energy) for system owners. Furthermore, it has a design with an OLED display (organic light-emitting diode) and Touch, which have a longer lifespan and can last for more than three million clicks.
“With the introduction of inverters, we can now meet the requirements of most C&I solar plants in Brazil. Growatt is committed to the development of solar energy in the country. With our service center established in Mogi das Cruzes at the beginning of last year, we have a more solid foundation to expand our business throughout Brazil, together with our partners”, said William Xu, sales manager at Growatt Brasil.
Other features
According to the manufacturer, the MAC inverter has local Wi-Fi function for installers and service engineers for configuration and troubleshooting purposes.
The inverter also works with a variety of devices through communication options such as 4G, GPRS and Wi-Fi for remote monitoring, which can reduce site visits and O&M (Operation and Maintenance) costs.
