According to the latest bulletin from InfoLink Consulting, the Module prices stabilized this week. According to the consultancy, manufacturers recently tried to increase prices by RMB 0,02-0,03/W, but failed due to the end customer's limitation in bearing the costs.
Large-scale projects in China will increase demand in August, while markets outside the country see stable demand. Still, the consultancy stated that the key is in demand, which shows no signs of significant recovery.
“With price wars and cheap, low-efficiency products disrupting the market, Panel costs will likely not recover, but will stabilize for now”, they stressed.
In general, the average cost was RMB 0,8-0,83/W. The Tier-1 manufacturers supported prices at RMB 0,78-0,8/W, while the remainder offered lower price quotes due to lower order volumes.
To HJT panels, the costs reached RMB 0,85-1/W, with the average price approaching RMB 0,95/W and below RMB 1/W for utility-scale projects.
Em markets outside China, the HJT panel costs fell to USD 0,12-0,13/W. Additionally, for TOPCon modules, prices varied significantly across regions, ranging from USD 0,1-0,105/W in Asia Pacific; EUR 0,085-0,115/W in Europe; USD 0,105-0,13/W in Australia; USD 0,085-0,12/W in Brazil; and USD 0,09-0,12/W in the Middle East.
Already for large projects, prices approached less than USD 0,1/W in the Middle East and USD 0,09-0,11/W in Latin America.
Polysilicon
Also according to InfoLink Consulting, the polysilicon price drops showed a stronger sign of cessation. In July, the market saw positive changes in the signing, execution and enforcement of contracts.
“Although the utilization rate in the bullion sector has declined, affecting material usage, purchasing for inelastic demand has improved. Many consumers buy more than necessary, indicating confidence in stable prices”, they reported.
This week's prices reached RMB 36,5-41/kg. Chinese-made polysilicon has seen little change, with costs recovering slightly from RMB 36/kg to RMB 36-37/kg. It is not yet known whether this will affect average trading prices in August and September.
“Polysilicon manufacturers will see inventory pressures reduce due to the significant reduction in production in July, but inventory pressure will persist into the second half of this year,” the bulletin noted.
Wafer
According to InfoLink, demand for 210N and 210RN wafers has weakened, causing prices to fall further. For 210RN wafers, some leading manufacturers are changing from 182*210mm to 182,2*210mm to increase module efficiency, causing an oversupply of 182*210mm wafers and uncertainty of supply and demand of various specifications.
For P-type M10 and G12 wafers, prices reached RMB 1,25/piece and RMB 1,7/piece, respectively. For N-type rectangular wafers M10, G12 and G12R, the costs reached RMB 1,1/piece, RMB 1,55/piece and RMB 1,25/piece, respectively.
Trading prices for 210N and 210RN wafers are expected to fall to RMB 1,5/piece and RMB 1,2/piece in August.
Cell
Trading prices mainly reached RMB 0,29/W this week, with the costs of M10 and G12 P-type cells, M10 TOPCon and G12R remaining at RMB 0,28-0,29/W, and G12 TOPCon cells sustained at RMB 0,29-0,3/W.
For 210mm N-type rectangular cells (210RN), the consultancy said slow demand has reduced availability for production, similar to wafers.
