PL 5829 (Bill No. 5829) should be sanctioned by President Jair Bolsonaro at the beginning of next week, probably on January 6th, according to information gathered by the Canal Solar with the General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Republic.
Authored by deputy Silas Câmara (Republicans/AM) and reported by deputy Lafayette de Andrada (Republicans/MG), the text aims to create the Legal Framework for DG (distributed generation) in Brazil, assigning to ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency) the responsibility to consider technical, environmental and social attributes in the calculation of energy compensation.
The document was approved by the Chamber of Deputies on December 16th, after being appreciated by senators. The proposal had a controversial reception by professionals who work in the GD segment, was forwarded for sanction and received by the Presidency a day later, on December 17, according to information from the General Secretary.
