The Brazilian photovoltaic market is experiencing a strategic moment: in addition to the expansion of new plants, there is a growing demand for retrofitting, the modernization of existing plants to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and extend the lifespan of assets.

In this context, ARaymond's solutions are established as the ideal choice, offering technology that simplifies installation, ensures safety, and significantly reduces costs associated with future operation and maintenance.

Retrofit projects involve modernizing or upgrading existing buildings, systems, or equipment to meet new regulatory or performance standards without the need for total demolition or reconstruction.

This type of project requires quick and safe interventions, usually in already established structures, where downtime directly impacts profitability.

Furthermore, it is essential that the new components integrate with the existing system and contribute to solving recurring challenges in older plants, such as loose fasteners, electrical faults, and inadequate cable management.

ARaymond solutions were developed to meet precisely these needs, delivering benefits that impact the entire project lifecycle:

Smart fastening clips

  • Safe and simple installation, no special tools required.
  • Assembly is considerably faster compared to nut and bolt, reducing plant downtime.
  • Fixing from the bottom of the modules, preventing microcracks and hot spots.
  • Elimination of screws and nuts, less rework and lower maintenance costs.

Metal cable management systems

Durability for the entire lifespan of the plant, unlike plastic straps that degrade over time and can burst.

  • Efficient cable organization, reducing the risk of electrical failures;
  • Simplified installation, without complex tools;
  • Superior durability, ensuring lower OPEX costs for inspections and repairs.

Terrifiers

  • Reliable electrical connection between modules and structure, meeting safety standards;
  • Quick installation, without complex processes;
  • Without eyelets or screws;
  • Cost reduction through inspections and rework, ensuring compliance from the start.

Impact on CAPEX and OPEX

  • Shorter installation time – reduced labor and tool costs;
  • Less corrective maintenance – lower OPEX over the plant's lifespan.
  • Greater electrical and structural reliability – extends the lifespan of assets and maximizes generation.

According to Rafael Avila, Key Account Manager at ARaymond, retrofitting doesn't have to mean complexity. "With ARaymond solutions, it's possible to transform this process into an opportunity to reduce costs, increase efficiency, and ensure safety. Whether it's modernizing fasteners, optimizing cabling, or ensuring reliable grounding, ARaymond offers technology that adds real value to the photovoltaic sector," he stated.
