Romagnole acquires controlling interest in Lupa Tecnologia

According to the company, the acquisition strengthens its operations in the national and international electricity sector

A Romagna announced last Friday (4) that it acquired controlling interest in Lupa Tecnologia e Sistemas.

The deal was completed in December, but only now, with the completion of the bureaucratic procedures, was the matter made public by the board.

Lupa works to develop technologies and systems for protection, automation, maneuvering and communication in electricity distribution networks.

Headquartered in Juiz de Fora (MG), it was founded in 2002 in a technology-based incubator at CRITT, at UFJF (Federal University of Juiz de Fora).

The company has already participated in several public notices for R&D (Research and Development) funding and has received several awards.

Among the solutions developed and sold are ALTERE controls, used in reclosers and LBS switches that are produced by Romagnole and applied by electrical energy concessionaires in networks. smart grid.

According to Romagnole, this operation is aligned with the company's strategic planning. In recent years, it has continually invested in innovation and technology to meet new demands and segments in the electricity sector.

“By incorporating Lupa Tecnologia, we reinforce the strategy of offering solutions for the energy efficiency, renewable, planning and operation of electrical systems, supervision, control and network protection markets. These solutions contribute to improving the quality and reliability of electricity services offered to society”, they concluded in a note.
