Solar-powered outdoor lighting is the focus of a new product line from Ourolux, which includes more than 20 models for residential and commercial applications.
Among the options are posts, spotlights, light fixtures, wall lights, and bollards, which can be used in gardens, pathways, balconies, facades, and building entrances.
The equipment uses solar panels to capture energy during the day and store it in rechargeable batteries, allowing the lighting to function at night without the need for connection to the electrical grid.
According to the company, the models meet different needs, from decorative lighting to circulation areas. Because they do not require connection to the electrical grid, they can also facilitate installation in locations where conventional infrastructure would require construction or adaptations.
Among the available products is the Solar LED SpikeThis 3W model has a luminous flux of 50 lumens and is suitable for lighting gardens and green areas. The equipment features an independent solar panel, a lithium-iron-phosphate (LiFePO₄) battery, and an IP65 protection rating, indicating resistance to dust ingress and water jets.
The line also includes Solar-powered street light. Equipped with a presence sensor with a range of up to six meters and a remote control for adjusting functions. The model uses a lithium battery, has IP65 protection and a battery life of up to eight hours, depending on charging and usage conditions.
Another option is the Solar ProjectorThis product is designed for illuminating larger outdoor areas. It features a 90-degree lighting angle, remote control, LiFePO₄ battery, and up to eight hours of runtime, as well as IP65 protection.
For decorative applications, the portfolio includes... Estella Solar LampDeveloped for wall mounting in outdoor environments, this model uses a rechargeable nickel-metal hydride (NiMH) battery, features IP65 protection, and can operate for up to eight hours on a full charge.
Already Luna Mezzo Solar Lamp It is suitable for decorative lighting of outdoor areas and features a wall-mounted installation. Like the Estella, it uses a NiMH battery, has IP65 protection, and a battery life of up to eight hours.
Roberto Saheli, CEO of Ourolux, emphasized the possibility of using lighting without a direct connection to the electrical grid and expanding the applications of the technology, especially in locations where the installation of conventional lighting points requires infrastructure modifications.
“Solar lighting represents an increasingly accessible alternative for incorporating the use of renewable sources into daily life. By combining energy autonomy, ease of installation, and versatility of applications, these solutions meet different lighting needs and contribute to more efficient choices aligned with current consumption demands,” he stated.
According to Saheli, the availability of smaller-scale solar solutions has contributed to expanding the use of the technology in everyday applications.
“When people talked about solar energy, the first image that came to mind was of a large, expensive installation requiring a complex structure. Nowadays, it's something practical to install, and there are benefits that go beyond just saving on electricity bills. By generating your own energy, you reduce your dependence on more polluting sources. It's this combination of something affordable, easy to use, and with a positive impact on the environment that is helping to bring solar energy to more places,” he stated.
