TCP Partners, an investment and asset management firm, announced a partnership with AtZ Investment Partners, an investment banking services company based in Madrid, Spain.

The initiative expands operations between the European and Latin American markets, focusing on M&A transactions, fundraising, debt advisory, and restructurings.

With this initiative, companies will have a local presence in São Paulo (SP) and Madrid, in addition to a network of collaborators in Colombia, Chile, Ecuador, Argentina, Mexico, and the United States.

Wilbert Sanchez, partner at TCP Partners, points out that the agreement allows TCP to expand access to sources of funding international and opportunities corporate finance In Europe, strengthening its international presence and offering more comprehensive solutions to clients, especially in infrastructure sectors (such as energy, road transport, construction and logistics), with expansion and investment interests between the two markets.

“We are very pleased to join forces with AtZ. The partnership expands our ability to generate value for clients through access to new financing opportunities, strategic investors, and international operations,” said the executive.

What does M&A mean and why is this acronym important?

The acronym M&A comes from the English term Mergers and Acquisitions, translated in Brazil as Fusões e Aquisições. This market encompasses financial transactions in which companies decide to consolidate their operations, either by joining forces to create a new company (merger) or when one organization buys control of another (acquisition).

In the context of the alliance between TCP and AtZ, M&A activity serves as a strategic bridge. The partnership aims to facilitate large European funds acquiring stakes in or taking control of infrastructure and energy projects in Brazil, moving billions in foreign capital and accelerating the growth of these sectors in the country.
