The German manufacturer Solar AE presented to the international photovoltaic market, during the Intersolar Europe, held in June in Germany, its new line of 495-505 W Terra bifacial modules, focused on agrovoltaic segment.

According to the company, the panel features 182 mm PERC TOPCon cells; has high tolerance to partial shade; extreme resistance to wind and snow; 30-year performance guarantee and 15-year product guarantee.

The company also stated that the line has an intelligent design with half-cell interconnections: amplifying performance and durability for better performance in the field – public services and agrivoltaics, as well as greater bifacial gain and has no self-shading.

Furthermore, they highlighted that, in terms of durability against mechanical loads, for example, the equipment is up to 75% less likely to fracture.

“The arrangement of Terra’s cells means that you have less mechanical stress in the center of the panel, preventing wind load from causing microcracks over time,” said Ramon Nuche, Latam director at AE Solar.

“Terra is the perfect choice for vertical mounting applications. It promises a longer lifespan and higher energy yield to achieve a lower LCOE without changing materials,” added Hamed Hanifi, director of Product Development and Technical Marketing at AE Solar.

According to Nuche, Terra is currently in the approval phase. “It will be available for purchase in the second quarter of next year for the global market.
