O Federal government announced last Tuesday (18th) opening de 40 vacancies protocols for new public tender da ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency). THE anúncio was done by Esther Dweck,  minister da Management and the Innovation in Public Services.

Sandoval Feitosa, general director of ANEEL, commented that the Agency is optimistic about this signal from the government.

“This was one of the main agendas of the board of directors ANEEL in discussions with the public authorities and which is now being implemented through the announcement of a new public tender”, he declared.

Feitosa also highlighted the challenges faced by the Agency and the importance of promoting the replacement of staff.

“With this initial action, we will be able to begin rebuilding the Agency’s staff and making it ready to face the challenge of repositioning Brazil as a protagonist in the global energy transition agenda,” he added.

Despite the announcement, the ANEEL stated that the number of vacancies opened by the competition does not fully meet the needs of replenishing the Agency's staff, which currently has 196 vacant positions – a gap of more than 25% in relation to the 569 positions filled.

The announcement is part of a government program entitled Reconstruction of the Brazilian State which, among other actions, has as a priority the recomposition of the workforce with the appreciation of public servants.
