O Canal Solar will be present on site, this Tuesday (6), from 10 am, at the Economic Development Committee of the Chamber of Deputies, which aims to debate the inversion of flow.

The topic has generated a series of debates among parliamentarians, associations and experts over the last two years regarding Resolution 1.059/2023 of the ANEEL and the performance of electricity distributors.

The discussion gains even more weight because, since the approval of Law 14.300/2022 — which created the legal framework for distributed generation — the sector has seen a jump in the number of projects.

Associations question ANEEL about the Resolution that regulates Law 14.300

For Lafayette de Andrada (Republicans/MG), federal deputy and president of the committee, there is still a lack of data to prove whether distributed generation causes electrical overload and justifies the blocking of new projects.

“It is the distributor’s responsibility to build more substations, which it does not do. So the burden was placed on the poor consumer, when the burden was on the distributor,” criticized the congressman on the Chamber of Deputies’ Painel Eletrônico program.

“Solar energy is the cheapest energy there is and ANEEL is creating difficulties. It created the regulation that gave distributors the tool to deny connection requests,” he highlighted.

The hearing will bring together representatives from the Agency, companies in the solar sector, distributors and also consumers. The expectation is that the debate can point out ways to unlock projects and ensure the advancement of solar energy in the country.
