A ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency) approved two tariff adjustments this week that affected consumers located in the concession areas of EDP Espírito Santo and Equatorial Pará.
In the case of EDP-ES, which serves approximately 1,77 million consumer units in 70 municipalities, a Periodic Tariff Review was carried out, the first after the renewal of its concession in July 2025.
The new values come into effect on August 7, with an approved tariff adjustment of 15,53%, being: 14,28% for residential; 14,72% for general low voltage and 17,85% for high voltage (industry).
Equatorial-PA had its Annual Average Adjustment approved, with an average rate of 3,74%, of which 3,26% for residential consumers; 3,57% for low voltage and 4,50% for high voltage, also effective from August 7th.
These processes were preceded by public hearings and consultations aimed at the sector, with public participation and regulatory transparency.
As informed by ANEEL, the main factors that justified the adjustments include sector charges, distribution costs, non-recoverable revenues and financial aspects linked to the previous tariff cycle.
