To meet a growing demand in its area of operation, which covers the nine states of the Northeast region and also part of Minas Gerais and Espírito Santo, the BNB Faucet (Banco do Nordeste) reported that it has R$118 million available to finance the installation of solar energy systems in homes until the end of the year.

Os resources come from the FNE (Constitutional Financing Fund of the Northeast), a source that ensures credit with below-market interest rates and longer payment terms.

Until April, bank had already released around R$54 million for this purpose, covering just over two thousand micro and mini distributed solar energy generation projects for homes.

A possibility for consumers, mainly residential generate their own energy through photovoltaic systems – associated with the advantages of reduced electricity bills, short-term return on investment and reduced equipment prices – allowed Brazil to surpass the mark of 2 million homes with solar energy in April this year, according to data from ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency).

More information About conditions and how the BNB solar systems financing fund works can be consulted next link.
