A BYD announced this Wednesday (22), during an event held in Campinas (SP), that it is reinforcing its investments in solar energy, presenting an integrated solution for generation, storage and electric mobility.

The company will now offer all products for installing a photovoltaic generator under the BYD brand. Throughout the meeting, they reinforced that they will not act as a distributor, but rather in partnership with partner installers.

Tyler Li, president of BYD Brasil, highlighted the moment and outlined a retrospective signaling the intention to positively modify the world's energy matrix.

“Just seven years after being in Brazil, a lot has happened. There are already three manufacturing units, more than 500 employees and many dreams in each business unit. Solar, in the spotlight, admires us for its strength while challenging us with its dynamism”, said Tyler.

“This work is the result of a strategy formatted almost two years ago. Based on the feedback previously collected in meetings and strategic visits, we are certain of our pioneering positioning to lead the transition of our energy matrix, offering the market not just the sale of photovoltaic modules,” highlighted Marcelo Taborda, BYD Sales Director.

More about the event

The event, which takes place this Wednesday (22) and Thursday (23) with the presence of integrators and installers, promoted a workshop on the first day in the morning – which explored everything from installation on roofs to integration with batteries.

Furthermore, a guided tour was carried out at the panel factory and EV (electric vehicle) exhibition. The BYD Tan, the first 100% electric seven-seater SUV launched in Brazil, the line of electric forklifts and vans and the Quin Plus, an electric sedan that has not yet had an official launch, were on display.

For Adalberto Maluf, BYD's director of marketing and sustainability, this meeting enshrines the company's entire history. “Distributed generation, solar and electric mobility are some of the main global trends for building a green economy.”

“We offer the complete solution from Sun to Wheel which, increasingly, will be important for the consolidation of clean energy in Brazil. This training inaugurates a new phase for BYD to sell all its products for the decarbonization of the country,” he concluded. Maluf.
