The LATAM region of Canadian Solar announced, last Thursday (08), a change in its management structure in the Latin American region.

As part of the company's growth program, Pedro Alves, current general manager, assumes a new position as vice president in the SEA & Oceania regions. In Latin America, two current directors share management of the region as managing directors.

Marcel Peralta who already headed the sales area focused on Utility Scale, assumes leadership of the company, being responsible for all sales channels, products, technical service and sales operations.

Canadian Solar will increase manufacturing capacity in the market

Samir Moura, the company's current financial director, leads all support teams, including the finance team. The moves come in line with Canadian Solar's policy of regionalizing areas and valuing the autonomy of its teams in each country of operation.

“In addition, it reinforces the company’s commitment to valuing our local talents and especially with the “think and act Global” mentality, creating an increasingly globalized culture for business”, they highlighted.

According to Thomas Koener, vice president of Canadian, “Marcel and Samir have made significant contributions to the growth of the LATAM region since joining and have truly made a difference. We were able to form an incredible team and we grew in many regions and channels thanks to all the leadership at LATAM, and all the team members.”
