A Canadian Solar announced the launch of two module models with TOPCon N-Type technology, equipped with the new cell 182R and power of up to 620 W, temperature coefficient of 0,29% / ° C and double glass also in the single-facial model.

With the latest global advances, the company stated that this launch marks a new chapter in the offering of solar energy solutions in Brazil, as the new standard aims to offer greater power and optimization of container use, with 98,5% cubic capacity to reduce costs and improve the planning of photovoltaic systems and plants.

In addition to allowing more parts per container, the company highlighted that the new modules increase the Wp per container ratio by 7,51%. “Under the same temperature conditions, this panel demonstrates a significantly lower power loss, which translates into greater energy efficiency in hotter regions”, they highlighted.

The updated TOPCon N-Type models are the bifacial TOPBiHiKu6 CS6.1-72TB and the single-facial TOPHiKu6 CS6.1-72TD with double glass. The monofacial version has the same degradation patterns as the bifacial model: its degradation rate is 1% in the first year and 0.40% in subsequent years.

Benefits

According to Canadian, the new modules have one of the highest efficiencies among manufacturers, with up to 23%, in addition to offering high string performance as they guarantee more power while maintaining voltage levels close to those of the previous model.

“With more power per string, fewer strings are needed to generate the same amount of energy, which reduces the amount of materials, such as structure, tracker, cables and combiner box”, they emphasized.

Aimed at different application scenarios both on the ground and on rooftops, both in distributed and centralized generation, the models guarantee high compatibility with inverters available on the market thanks to low currents, as well as optimized logistics and a low temperature coefficient.
