In a press conference, Lucas Araripe, the company's executive director, informed that until the beginning of 2026 and empresa intend to have 4,2 GW of installed power in renewable energy, with production being wind (3,1 GW) and solar (1,1 GW). With this, the The share of solar energy will be 25% of total production.
O investment for generating this power by 2026 will revolve around of R$ 12 billion. Including those already underway and new isolated plants.
About 70% of this amount will be financing long-term provided by banks BNDES (National Bank for Economic and Social Development), BNB Faucet (Banco do Nordeste do Brasil) and money raised in the debt market. company will finance R$3,5 billion, according to the executive director.
Solar energy production will be done both in a hybrid and isolated way. The measure aims to optimize costs and use transmission infrastructure during the idle period of wind production.
Hybrid generation will be installed in the northeast, in wind farms in operation or in the implementation phase in Bahia, at the Babilônia Centro and Babilônia Sul plants and in Rio Grande do Norte, at the Serra do Tigre and Rio do Vento projects.
Isolated solar projects are expected to be installed in São Paulo, Goiás, Mato Grosso and Mato Grosso do Sul, the estimate is that these parks will generate between 400 MW and 500 MW.
Keeping an eye on green solutions
Casa dos Ventos, which since 2022 has had a 33% stake in the French multinational TotalEnergies, can accelerate new ventures and is already eyeing green solutions, such as the production of green hydrogen, ammonia and methanol.
According to Araripe, TotalEnergies is providing technical support and working on negotiations with potential customers for green fuels, aimed at Brazilian industries, such as fertilizer producers and steel mills, that seek to decarbonize operations.
The export of green hydrogen in the form of ammonia is also being negotiated with the Asian and European markets.
