The Consumer Defense Commission must hold, this Wednesday (13), a public hearing to debate the non-compliance with Law 14.300/22, which establishes the legal framework for distributed generation in Brazil.
The meeting will be held from 10 am, in plenary room 8, and will be broadcast on the Chamber of Deputies' YouTube channel, allowing the public to participate and send questions to guests on the Chamber of Deputies' platform.
The debate was requested by Representatives Celso Russomanno (Republicanos-SP), Daniel Almeida (PCdoB-BA), and Gisela Simona (União-MT). They stated that despite the rules already being defined by law, some distributors continue to adopt practices that harm consumers and create legal uncertainty for companies and investors in the sector.
Among the irregularities reported by lawmakers are delays in connecting systems, undue charges, project rejections, and arbitrary interpretations of regulations. The complaints name concessionaires such as Cemig, RGE, Equatorial, and Energisa.
In his request, Congressman Russomanno said that in addition to the conduct of the concessionaires, “there are questions about the actions of ANEEL, responsible for monitoring and ensuring compliance with the standard”. See the full document.
