Chint Power launches 75 kW inverter for 220 V and 380 V networks

New products bring a new alternative to the solar market, focusing on microgeneration

Today, Brazil has more than 2,5 million photovoltaic systems installed throughout the national territory, with the overwhelming majority being part of the microgeneration, representing 99,46 % of the total.

The survey was carried out by Canal Solar based on data from ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency). According to the Agency, until last Thursday (02), the country had 2.580.979 photovoltaic systems in operation. Of this total, 2.566.936 are systems up to 75 kW.

In a country where there is a diversity of electrical networks, photovoltaic equipment manufacturers has been seeking to improve itself more and more to deliver solutions that serve all consumers.

In response to this demand, the Chint Power Systems Brazil announced the launch of its line of 75 kW inverters for 220 V and 380 V networks. In the company's assessment, microgeneration projects, as they are simpler and quicker to be approved, have become a very attractive alternative in the market, the which opens up space for inverters with this power, ideal for those looking to optimize this type of modality”.

Ao Canal Solar, the manufacturer also pointed out that its 75 kW inverter line allows overload of up to 100%. “This is a big difference, as it allows the DC (Direct Current) power of the photovoltaic modules to have up to twice the AC (Alternating Current) power of the machines, which can significantly reduce the cost of the system”, he highlighted. Raquel Zhou, executive director Latin America.

The executive also reported that the models SCA75K-T-SA and SCA75K-T-EU They were designed precisely with the aim of meeting the growth in the number of microgeneration projects. “And the products are easily compatible with several modern photovoltaic modules available on the market, based on a maximum input current of 30 A per MPPT”, he informed.

Another difference between the launches highlighted by Chint is the availability for both 220 V and 380 V installations. The company pointed out that this flexibility is essential to meet the different voltage levels and quality of energy supply in Brazilian utility networks.

  • The models have 9 MPPTs (Maximum Power Point Tracking) and 18 inputs that are widely used in medium to large projects, with a maximum efficiency of 98.64%;
  • It has communication interfaces RS485/ Wi-Fi (standard) & 4G (optional)], integrated Bluetooth and App for local and remote monitoring, as well as support for grid zero through meter and TC;
  • They have complete protection with type II surge protection devices (SPD) integrated on both the DC and AC sides of the inverter. They also have the protection AFCI (Arc Fault Circuit Interrupter), an essential function to proactively reduce the risk of fire through monitoring of electrical arcs.
