Dear all, I am passionate about renewable energy sources. The range of alternatives for our country is a privilege and unprecedented in the world. We can mention: The energy of the waves and tides, which in Maranhão have a variation that fluctuates around 7m, perhaps being the largest in the world; biofuel; the green hydrogen that we have incredible potential with the use of wind and solar generation. However, we have noticed that there are smart people on duty, for example, the massive propaganda of the free energy market whose maximum savings perspective oscillates around 30%, although there is no investment for the opting party in equipment purchases, as there is a investment in own solar generation, in a conservative way, which offers savings of close to 80%, with an internal rate of return (IRR) that can reach 150% per year and a payback of 2 years. The question remains: Is there an opportunity in the financial market for any investment that can safely yield a return of 10% per year of this value? I await response! Engineer, professor, master in electrical engineering sciences-COPPE/UFRJ; energy efficiency designer; in solar generation and electric vehicle charging station.
