A ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency) confirmed that it will hold, next Friday (27), the first Transmission Auction of 2026. The event will take place from 10 am, at the B3 headquarters, in São Paulo (SP), bringing together investors and companies interested in expanding the country's electric infrastructure.

In total, five lots will be offered, with an estimated investment of R$ 3,3 billion and an expectation of generating more than 8,4 direct and indirect jobs throughout the construction and operation phases of the projects.

The tender includes the construction and maintenance of 798 km of transmission lines, as well as the installation of 1.950 MVA of transformation capacity in substations and the implementation of equipment such as synchronous compensators, essential to guarantee the stability and reliability of the electrical system.

The projects are distributed across 11 states: Bahia, Ceará, Mato Grosso, Minas Gerais, Pará, Paraná, Rio de Janeiro, Rio Grande do Norte, Sergipe, Santa Catarina, and São Paulo. The completion time for the works varies between 42 and 60 months, depending on the complexity of each project.

In addition to this auction, the ANEEL It foresees a new auction taking place in the second half of 2026. The expectation is that the next auction will exceed R$ 20 billion in investments and enable the construction of more than 3.500 km of new transmission lines, expanding the capacity to transport the energy generated in the country and strengthening the integration of the national electricity system.
