A 25ª edition do GD Northeast Forum will be based in Recife PE) during the month of August. The event will take place in 7th and 8th, Wednesday and Thursday at the Recife Events Center.
The event brings together solution providers, EPCs, integrators, distributors, manufacturers, professionals and academics who work directly or indirectly in GD (distributed generation) originating from renewable sources power.
“For the first time, the GD Northeast Region Forum arrives in the city of Recife, where we even held the largest distributed generation event in the country in 2019. We are now returning with the possibilities of bringing new investments, of placing the state and the Northeast region as a protagonist” highlights Tiago Fraga, CEO of Grupo FRG Mídias & Eventos, organizer of the event.
Rudinei Miranda, president of ANER (National Association of Renewable Energy Representative Entities), one of the supporters of the event, points out that the GD Forum is of great importance for promote business and knowledge in the Northeast region.
“Having major events like this in the Northeast and here essentially in the state of Pernambuco, in which I am president of the Pernambuco association and now I have also assumed the position of president of the national one, makes us very pleased to know that it is a serious event, an event with support, with quality, an event focused on adding value. So this gives us a lot of peace of mind, including the fact that we are directly supporting the event”, points out Miranda.
Event structure
The Forum will take place in two days on panels e lectures debating trending topics about GD in the northeast region of the country, in addition to relevant issues sobre or free energy market, such as new business opportunities, professional training and Brazilian legislation for this type of energy production.
“We will bring the main global players who will be sharing their knowledge, speaking on various topics such as legal status, reverse flow, financing opportunities, new technologies in modules and inverters, connectors” explains Fraga.
“We will talk about small and medium-sized plants, free energy market. So, we are convinced and certain that this event will be the biggest ever held by the FRG Group and we expect around 1 thousand to 5 thousand people per day” he adds.
GD in the northeastern context
According to data from ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency), Brazil has currently 29,58 GW of installed capacity in DG. The northeast is responsible for 5,88 GW.
Among the nine northeastern states, the Bahia emerges as leader in the segment, with a production of 1,29 GW. Ceará and Pernambuco close the top 3, with respectively, 0,96 GW e 0,87 GW of installed power.
Recife, the venue for the event, currently has almost 8 thousand consumer units in DG, and around 80 MW in installed power.
