The multinational ledvance, active in the lighting sector in 140 countries, has invested in a new field. The company announced the creation of ledvance Renewables to incorporate photovoltaic energy generation systems into its operations and recently joined the ABSOLAR (Brazilian Photovoltaic Solar Energy Association) in search of expansion in the Brazilian market.
The company covers the generation power, storage, use e integration with the electrical network in residences, businesses and industries. The portfolio includes photovoltaic modules, microinverters, inverters on-grid, hybrid inverters, batteries, accessories, all are manufactured by MLS, owner of Ledvance in China.

Ledvance will also use the platform FOOT da Pieta.Tech – Brazilian company with six years of experience in consultancy in the photovoltaic sector – to manage the entire distribution operation, control stock, budgets and orders for fast and effective full-time service.

“Brazil has enormous potential for solar energy due to its favorable geographic location, with many hours of sunshine throughout the year. This has supported the sector's growth in recent years, and is expected to continue growing in the future”, commented Everton Mello, CEO of Ledvance Latin America
“However, challenges such as regulatory issues, infrastructure and financing still need to be adequately resolved, in order to guarantee clear visibility and without constant changes to harness the full potential of solar energy in Brazil”, added Mello.
According to the IRENA (International Renewable Energy Agency)), the implementation of renewable energies has reached world record in 2023 and the investment of Ledvance Renewables reflects the expansion of renewable energy in the world.
There were 3.870 GW, equivalent to 86% of installed capacity. Just the solar energy was responsible for 73% of this growth and according to the report of IEA (International Energy Agency), around 3.700 GW are expected to come into operation between 2023 and 2028.
“The partnership between Ledvance and Pieta.tech represents a powerful force in the Brazilian solar market. The combination of LEDVANCE's expertise in solar energy with Pieta.tech's innovative technology guarantees complete, efficient and personalized solutions for customers”, reinforced the companies in a statement.
