The program Light for All, coordinated by MME (Ministry of Mines and Energy), served approximately 9,8 families in 2024, totaling more than 39 thousand people.

Most calls, around 70% was made in the Legal Amazon. Meanwhile, the others 30% were in rural areas.

Individual kits of solar energy were installed in the states of Amapá and Pará. In Acre, Bahia, Maranhão, Piauí and Rondônia, the connection was made by extending the network to rural areas.

Jaime Cardoso Correia, a rural worker from the city of Breves in Pará, was one of this year's beneficiaries. “We always dreamed of the arrival of energy. The installation was done five months ago and there have never been any problems. We only have something to be grateful for,” he says.

About the program

The objective of the Light for All program is combat energy poverty, and democratize the use of electrical energy.

The program's premise is to help provide energy services, through clean and renewable energy sources, to the population that does not have access to the public electricity distribution system.

In 2023, more than 61 families benefited, with investments of R$1,25 billion. Most of them are located in the North of the country. This year, the MME plans to serve 75 thousand families.
