Photovoltaic projects with an installed capacity of over 12 MWp, enough to supply between 6 and 7,2 homes, will be completed by April 2025 in the states of Bahia, Ceará and Pernambuco.
With an investment of R$ 67 million, GDSUN is implementing four solar projects in Northeast: Caracara (CE), Alliance (PE), Barra do Arara (BA) and Luiz Eduardo Magalhães 2 (BA).
With areas ranging from 42 to 99 square meters, the plants were designed to operate with solar modules, trackers and inverters.
Check out the characteristics of each of them below:
Caracara (CE): the plant will have an installed capacity of 3.301 MWp in an area of 60 thousand m², with 5.040 photovoltaic modules and 90 trackers;
Alliance (PE): will have 2.751 MWp, an area of 42,3 thousand m², in addition to being composed of 4,2 thousand photovoltaic modules and 120 trackers;
Arara Bar (BA): will have a capacity of 2.751 MWp, with an area of 60 thousand m², in addition to 4,2 thousand photovoltaic modules and 120 trackers.
Luiz Eduardo Magalhães 2 (BA): UFV will have 3.301 MWp, an area of 99,5 m², in addition to 5.040 photovoltaic modules and 168 trackers.
According to Simone Suarez, CEO of GDSUN, around 70 to 120 direct and indirect jobs will be created throughout the implementation of the solar plants, involving teams specialized in engineering, logistics, supplies and construction.
“With this milestone, we reinforce the positive socio-environmental impact of the projects, consolidating our contribution to a cleaner and more accessible energy matrix,” he says.
Implementation involves logistical challenges, such as transporting materials to remote locations and the need for detailed planning to ensure efficient execution of the works.
Currently, GDSUN has 73 plants installed in 13 Brazilian states, with a total operational capacity of 185 MWp.
