Renner uses solar energy to supply stores

The project is aligned with the public sustainability commitments assumed by Lojas Renner for 2021

Renner, one of the largest fashion retailers in Brazil, announced in a press release that 4 of its stores in Rio de Janeiro already have their energy consumption fully offset by solar farms photovoltaic.

The solar farm located in the municipality of Vassouras, 120 kilometers from the capital of Rio de Janeiro, was built and operated by a partner entrepreneur. The space has 4 thousand photovoltaic panels, which produce an average of 1,8 thousand MWh/year of energy, with 1,32 MW of power.

The project is aligned with the public sustainability commitments assumed by Lojas Renner for 2021. The goals, announced last year, include supplying 75% of corporate energy consumption from low-emission renewable sources (which can be solar, wind, small hydroelectric plants, biomass, etc.) and a 20% reduction in carbon dioxide (CO) emissions2)in relation to the 2017 inventory.

“With this initiative, we intend to deepen knowledge about the model and replicate the good practice for other stores and also for suppliers in our production chain, with the aim of encouraging and promoting the premises of sustainability”, explains the Director of Operations at Lojas Renner, Fabiana Taccola.

Good morning, dear Operations Director of Lojas Renner, Sara Fabiana Taccola.

The reason for my contact is because of the article about the installation of photovoltaic plants in the region of the state of Rio de Janeiro in the municipality of Vassouras.
If you are interested in expanding investments in the sector, I have a good area that I intend to lease for this purpose.
So I leave my contact cecontini@gmail.com..and cell phone 21 996176945.
I would appreciate it if you could get back to me on this matter.

I saw the article seeking to negotiate an area close to the Lúcia Moura highway that passes through Vassouras for the possible installation of a small plant for the generation and distribution of photovoltaic energy in the land leasing model that I own measuring 4,9 hectares.
So I leave my contact details if you are looking to expand this business model.
