The presence of solar energy to bring more savings has been increasingly present in hotel segment in Brazil. And when the photovoltaic source is integrated with energy storage through Batteries, the great benefit is the energy autonomy.

This is the case of the EcoParque das Aves bubble hotel, located in Botucatu (SP). The space has a PHB Solar on-grid retrofit system, installed in carport structure.

“Challenge is the word we remembered when Marcio approached Ecosolar to carry out the Eco Parque das Aves project”, he says Claudio Gianina, commercial director of Ecosolar Solar Energy.

“In addition to our own energy generation, which contributes to the preservation of the environment, we have the retrofit system, which meets the need for uninterrupted electrical supply for the operating mechanism of bubble hotels”, he reports.

“Each of the bubble hotel structures uses an air turbine to keep them inflated 24 hours a day, in addition to other priority energy points,” he explains. Ricardo Nascimento, operational director of Ecosolar Energia Solar.

“As a result, when there is a power outage from the concessionaire, the retrofit system goes into operation and, if this happens during the day, the modules continue generating energy working together with the retrofit inverter. If there is a power outage at night, the batteries take over and supply the load”, he adds.

Today, the space has a three-phase system with 20 kW of power installed in a carport structure with 54 photovoltaic modules. The backup system is 15 kW.

According to the PHB, the retrofit solar UPS allows customers to have their on-grid system with a backup solution, with an off-grid inverter supplying the load in the event of a grid failure and taking advantage of the modules already installed on the roof.

Currently, in addition to small projects, PHB is able to serve customers with high loads of up to 45 kW, with continuous operation, even with a lack of network, and with the generation of credits at the concessionaire.
